Brain Booster Juice

My green juices generally consist of whatever I can find sitting around in my fridge and fruit bowl. I like to keep an 80% vegetable/20% fruit balance. Sometimes the juices come out sweeter and at other times they are bitterer. Oftentimes they are of a deep green color, occasionally they are purple and once in a while they are orange. (There are definitely some brownish juices in there too, but I tend not to post those as they can turn off any health lover experimenting with juicing.)

FullSizeRenderThis “green” juice, although bordering on a yellowish hue and not a completely deep green, was totally delightful. The ginger gave it the perfect amount of spice and the apple and fennel, a sweetness that my daughter (pictured here) obviously enjoyed.

Brain Booster Juice


  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 bulb fennel
  • 2 carrots


  • Wash, cut, juice, serve and enjoy!
