When I woke up to a fully green Instagram feed the other day, I realized that it was St. Patty’s day…and what better excuse would I have to make a green smoothie for breakfast?
I was thinking of trying out this strawberry spinach smoothie recipe for a while and the fact that it was St. Patrick’s Day provided the perfect opportunity.
Therefore, I got to eat a totally scrumptious smoothie and I was able to join the innumerable amount of individuals posting green food in honor of the holiday (even though, in all honesty, I was a day late!)
Strawberry Spinach Smoothie (Bowl)
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
- 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
- 1 banana
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (mine is homemade)
- 1 mandarin
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 pitted dates
(Anything can work but for this one I used:)
- Sliced Strawberries
- Raw Cocoa nibs
- Dehydrated coconut slivers
- Shelled hemp seeds
Blend (I used my Vitamix <3), decorate, serve and enjoy!
