Swirled Mint and Chocolate Smoothies

I’ve made it pretty clear that one of my all time favorite combinations is chocolate and mint. I thought I would try out a double smoothie combination of swirled chocolate and mint. Making the two smoothies may take double the time but the results are wonderful. In combining them, I used about 75% of the chocolate smoothie and 25% mint…therefore the mint gave the chocolate a boost of freshness while the chocolate satisfied any and all possible cravings. #chocolateaddict

Swirled Chocolate and Mint Smoothies

For the chocolate smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp raw cocoa powder
  • ½ cup almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 small handful spinach (to get the greens in!)
  • 1 tbsp almond butter

For the mint smoothie:

Instructions:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 ½ large handfuls spinach
  • ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • ¼ cup non-dairy yogurt (I used homemade coconut yogurt)

In the end:

  • Combine the smoothies as desired. I swirled them, but you can layer or even completely mix
  • Top (I used banana slices, hemp seeds and vegan chocolate chips)
  • Serve and enjoy!!
